Trivia
One Day like Today...
2003
On October 21, 1960, American viewers were riveted to their television sets for the broadcast of the fourth and final debate between Vice President Richard M. Nixon, the Republican presidential candidate, and Senator John F. Kennedy, Democratic candidate.
On September 26, 1960, the viewing public had tuned in to the first domestic issues-centered debate between Kennedy and Nixon. The debate, broadcast by CBS, provided for eight-minute opening statements from each candidate followed by a series of questions and answers and ended with three-minute closing statements.
