Return from the Wonderland Trail!!
Vicinity Location: 95 miles northeast of Portland, Oregon in Mt. Rainier National Park.
Hello everyone, I have returned!! The mountain was awesome as always. This year’s adventure was rain free and multiple dayhikes/side trips were added including Camp Muir. Lots of Pictures are available now in the Gallery. I will continue to edit and update with more photos as the week progresses. I have a few logs from the trip as well, take a look. Day 1: Approx 15 miles, total hike time 6:59, gain 3320 @ 36fpm avg. Loss 2770 @ 51 fpm avg. day 2: Approx 12.3 miles, total hike time 7:57 logs lost, battery failure. day 3: Approx 11.0 miles, total hike time 5:25, gain 2470 @ 36fpm avg, loss 2270 @48 fpm avg. Day 4: Approx 16 miles, total hike time 7:59, gain 2650 @ 21 fpm avg, loss 4330 @41 fpm avg. Day 5: Approx 14 miles, total hike time 9:17, gain 4290 @27 fpm avg, loss 3670 @36 fpm avg. Day 6: Approx 6 miles, Spent day hiking in Seattle and Spray Park, no logs taken. Day 7: Approx 17 miles, total hike time 6:43, gain 2420 @27 fpm avg, loss 2400 @47 fpm avg. Day 8: Approx 17 miles, total hike time 8:37, gain 3630 @35 fpm avg, loss 4370 @54 fpm avg. Day 9: Hike to Camp Muir, 9.44 miles round trip 4500ft gain and 4500ft. loss. Total elevation Gain over course of trail from logs recorded = 23,280ft. ( 2 days worth missing) Total elevation Loss = 24,310ft. (2 days worth missing) All in all lots of steps to complete the trip this year.. HikingDrew
