- Campsite at Breitenbush Lake. This was the worst place on the whole trail for mosquitoes. The mosquitoes died in our food as we heated it up and we ate, then stayed, in the tents.
- Sunrise on Breitenbush Lake. I'm sure this lake would be more hospitable in the fall but we had clouds of mosquitoes around the lake.
- Sunrise on Breitenbush Lake looking at Mt. Jefferson. The mosquitoes weren't bad until the sun came up. I ended up leaving behind part of my water filter trying to get away from the mosquitoes.
- Looking back at Mt. Hood it is amazing to see how far we walked. When we started, we were almost on the slopes of Mt. Hood and now we are almost on the slopes of Mt. Jefferson.
- The wildflowers along the trail were beautiful.
- Running down the snowy slopes of Park Butte before dropping into Jefferson Park.
- Mt. Jefferson peeks above the ridge. There were plenty of mosquitoes along this whole section of the trail in July.
- We played on the slopes of Park Butte for over an hour before we crossed through the pass and dropped down into Jefferson Park.
- Here is Tyler climbing up the trail through the snow. We saw a small patch of the dirt trail on the way up, but it was mostly covered in snow.
- We played on the slopes of Park Butte for over an hour before we crossed through the pass and dropped down into Jefferson Park.
- Mt. Jefferson looms larger as we walk farther south. When we started we could barely see Mt. Jefferson and now Mt. Hood becomes smaller each day.
- Mr. Gourlie crossing a stream into Jefferson Park. This was an easy step-across stream. There weren't any hard stream crossing on this route.
- Even in July Russell Lake was still frozen at the east end of Jefferson Park.
- Looking at 3-Fingered Jack from the snowy slopes of Park Butte before dropping into Jefferson Park.
- Vernon pauses beside a meltwater stream along the trail.
