- Wonderful clouds were lit by the early morning sun on my way to the trailhead.
- There are some nice views of Mt. Rainier from the Glacier Basin View Trail.
- The toe of the Emmons Glacier is covered in debris that has fallen onto the glacier as it is constantly pushed down the mountain.
- The summit of Mt. Rainier peeks out from the slopes of Glacier Basin.
- The beginning of the trail is well marked.
- Some wildflowers bloom late into the year along the Glacier Basin Trail.
- Several small streams provide just the thing for carpets of Monkeyflowers in Glacier Basin.
- Rocky cliffs loom above Glacier Basin.
- Old copper mining equipment is slowly being overgrown along the Glacier Basin Trail. You can only see the ruins in a couple of places along the trail.
- Mt. Rainier and Little Tahoma rest under a blanket of clouds along Emmons Glacier View Trail.
- Looking towards Buroughs Mountain from the Emmons View Trail.
- Looking down the valley, you can see the White River in the valley and the road to Sunrise at the upper left of the picture.
