Campsite at Breitenbush Lake. This was the worst place on the whole trail for mosquitoes. The mosquitoes died in our food as we heated it up and we ate, then stayed, in the tents.

The wildflowers along the trail were beautiful.
Heavy snows lingered late and covered the trail. It was a great opportunity for the Scouts to use their route-finding skills. This is looking north back the way we came.
Climbing up through the snow was an easy way to lose the trail but we were able to take a sighting from a distant landmark and continue on our route.

Mt. Jefferson looms larger as we walk farther south. When we started we could barely see Mt. Jefferson and now Mt. Hood becomes smaller each day.
Another day of beautiful weather and plenty of bugs for company during rest stops.

We played on the slopes of Park Butte for over an hour before we crossed through the pass and dropped down into Jefferson Park.
