- Here is view from the Mazama Trail of the parking lot. Some sections of the lower trail provide views of Mt. Hood.
- Coming down towards the Columbia River there is another view of the Columbia River Gorge looking to the east.
- Another view of the Columbia River from the Mt. Defiance Trail.
- The yellow leaves of Vine Maples are lit by the afternoon sun along the Mt. Defiance Trail.
- One of the viewpoints along the Mt. Defiance Trail provides this view of the Columbia River Gorge to the west. Round Mountain is towards the center of the picture.
- At the summit of Mt. Defiance are several radio towers. Here is a worker doing maintenance on one of the dishes.

- Descending the Timberline Trail just above Lamberson Butte the trees grow taller but plants still struggle to grow in the sandy volcanic soil.
- Fall colors paint the leaves on the north side of Warren Lake in October along the Mitchell Point Trail.
- Cabin Creek Falls slows to a tiny plume of water in the summer and fall. This is near the Mt. Defiance Trailhead.

- This is Lamberson Butte, on the north side of Newton Creek. Going downhill, Lamberson Butte is easy to spot. Heading uphill it is pretty easy to walk right by it.
