ថ្ងៃដែលបានបង្កើត / 2012
- Debris washed down the valley from the melting glaciers to litter the valley floor.
- The skeleton of a tree makes a silhouette and shows the power of the east winds in the Gorge.
- Looking west you can see the Columbia River in the distance and also see how far you have traveled from the river.
- The Crooked River has cut a deep canyon through the basalt of Central Oregon.
- Logging equipment destroyed in the 1980 blast. This was a yarder used to pull logs to the top of the ridge.
- All along the trails in Tryon Creek State park, Licorice Ferns grow happily on trees in areas with plenty of rainfall.
- The South Coldwater Trail begins in a new forest and has a moderate climb up to a ridge. Foxglove stretch for the sky in this small clearing.
- Hiking the Wonderland seems like a great alternative. It will be nice and quiet since the road isn't open. Left to right, Steve, Meagan, Tim, and Mark
- There are many seeps, several streams, and a few small waterfalls along the Gales Creek Trail.
- Looking down Swale Canyon you can see the gentle curves and easy downhill grade of the old railroad.
- Tent caterpillars create a horror scene for plants growing along the trail this year (2012). The webs remind me of Shelob's lair in Lord of the Rings.
- Mt. Theilson as seen from the Sun Notch Trail at Crater Lake.
- Wonderful clouds were lit by the early morning sun on my way to the trailhead.
- Trillium bloom in abundance in Tryon Creek State park in the early spring.
- I practised routefinding by fixing on a distant point and going in a straight line along Mazama Ridge.
