- The Bridge over Oneonta Creek is about 30 feet above the stream and has an open-slat deck. You can look down right through the bridge and see the creek rushing beneath you.
- Western Hemlock (Latin name: Tsuga heterophylla) predominate the lower portions of this trail. Here is a picture the gray bark of an older tree.
- The Aspen Trail starts on Aspen Road and goes back up to the Wildwood Trail. Here is the trail sign but it is off in the bushes a bit.
- Lewis River along the Lewis River Trail.
- Two streams come together just above the log crossing over the Devils Lake fork of the Wilson River. Looks like a great place to go wading in the summer.
- Steve sitting in front of his tent in the morning before climbing to the summit of Mt. Adams. The long rock patch on the right is the easiest way up and down Piker's Peak.

- June Lake has a wide, shallow shore which is just right for wading. The lake is surprisingly clear for having this shallow shoreline.
