- Jewel Weed (Latin Name: Impatiens capensis). This grows in a few large colonies along the trail.
- The Crooked River is the main attraction of this hike. The vegetation in the area is sparse and brushy.
- Indian Paintbrush or Harsh Paintbrush (Latin name: Castilleja hispida) blooming on the upper slopes of Salmon Butte.
- There is about a 10 foot waterfall next to the Moulton Falls Trail.

- Sturgeon Rock is columnar basalt that is weathered. There is a user trail that goes along the top of this promontory.
