- Trailhead for Herman Creek
- Here is the end of the gravel portion of the Lewis and Clark Discovery Trail. This trailhead is near Ilwaco, WA and is uphill about .3 miles from the paved parking lot.
- Here is the results of a tree growing on a nurse log. The tangle of roots supports the new tree as the old one rots away.

- The trail junction with the Timberline Trail and the trailhead of the Mazama Trail are well signed.

- An overlook from the Horsetail Creek Trail with Beacon Rock is in the distance on the right and looks kind of like a big tooth. Wind Mountain is the pointy peak just to the right and behind Beacon Rock.
- The Northern Loop hiking trail near Berkeley Park above Lodi Creek at Mt. Rainier National Park.

- Mt. St. Helens near the bottom of June Lake Trail
- Elk Meadows has fine views of Mt. Hood. The meadow is marshy in places.
- Palouse Falls plunges over a basalt precipice and makes quite a show in the spring.
- Looking northeast to a view of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier as seen from Silver Star Mountain.
- Wildflowers blooming along the upper portion of the Hardy Ridge Loop Trail.
