- Icicles decorate all the trees on 4th Crossing Trail along one of the forks of the Paradise River.

- The Timberline Trail crosses McGee Creek on the way to Cairn Basin. 2010 was a late snow year. This photo was taken in late July and shows that there is no bridge over this crossing.

- Candyflower (Latin name: Montia sibirica) in bloom along the Moulton Falls Trail. The plant is about 12 inches tall and most stems have a pair of leaves with small white flowers. The plant looks a little like Miner's Lettuce because it is a relative.

- Flowers are sparse along the trail to Lunch Counter. Here you can see how the ground is a rocky mix of sand, pebbles, rocks, and boulders.
