- Walking along the very narrow shoulder of the road you soon come to a small portion of the old Columbia River Highway. This shows the restored tunnel at Oneonta Creek. This tunnel is for bikes and foot traffic only.
- Munson Creek Falls is the tallest waterfall in the Coast Range. It cascades 319 feet down a cliff at the head of the valley. This picture was taken early spring when the water flows freely.
- Grasses and Indian Paintbrush carpet the uppermost slope of Neakahnie Mountain. This is looking southeast into the Nehalem River valley.
- Sunshine burning off the morning fog on the Nesmith Point Trail
- Mt. Rainier from a vantage point going up to Grand Park from Berkeley Park.
- Western Red Cedar (Latin name: Thuja plicata) growing along the trail at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.

- As with most Forest Service trails, the trails are well marked. This horse camp is near the cutoff for Palmateer Point.
