- Look for this trail sign to return to Trail #400 and back to Multnomah Falls. This sign is about .2 mile west of the Oneonta Tunnel.

- Columnar basalt forms high cliffs along part of the Otter Bench Trail.
- A butterfly takes a break from feeding on flowers along the Owyhigh Trail in Mt. Rainier National Park.
- Here is our first close-up view of Mt. Jefferson from the PCT. This is a very rocky section and the Scouts very cautions crossing this part of the trail though the lack of trees made for spectacular views.
- Portland East Bank Espalnade Steel Bridge. The Steel Bridge is unique in that the lower deck can be raised while leaving the upper deck in place, or both decks can be raised.

- Near the trailhead parking lot is this old sign showing the trails around Barlow Pass.
- Palouse Falls plunges over a basalt precipice and makes quite a show in the spring. This is from the overlook near the parking lot.
