- Oneonta Gorge looking towards the trailhead.
- Rapids in the Crooked River would have made it difficult for early pioneers to navigate the river. The deep gorge made crossings few and far between in this area.
- Here is our first close-up view of Mt. Jefferson from the PCT. This is a very rocky section and the Scouts very cautions crossing this part of the trail though the lack of trees made for spectacular views.
