- Mt. Hood rises above the Benson Plateau.
- Phlox and some fuzzy plant are lit by the early morning sunlight on the Dog Mountain Trail.
- Mt. St. Helens can be easily seen from Dog Mountain on a nice day.
- Looking south at the upper portion of the Dog Mountain Trail and the Columbia River.
