- Mt. Rainier making a cloud cap from the moist air coming from the ocean.
- Looking up to the right of Mt. Rainier.
- Looking from Paradise to the place we camped on Mazama Ridge.
- Looking down towards Reflection Lakes shows a creeping mist on the valley floor. Nice to be on the ridge.
- Looking down Paradise Valley from Paradise.
- Looking at the Tatoosh Range from Paradise. The snow on the trees is really icy and frozen to the trees.
- Looking at the Tatoosh Range from Paradise. Brrr...
- Kevin's water hose froze up during the night. I thawed it out for him while he was packing up.
- Kevin standing beside his tent after he took some of my snow blocks.
- Kevin cuts out a foot well so he can sit in his tent and take his boots off.
- Kevin at the junction for Mazama Ridge. Breaking trail from here was tiring through the heavy, wet snow.
- I've got everything out of the igloo, ready for destruction.
- I cut a couple of windows in the igloo the next morning so we could cook while sitting inside.
- I always like the patterns the blocks make. You have to look a bit to see the spiral pattern of the blocks.
- Here is the entrance to my completed igloo. The entrance has one blue tarp and the raised sleeping area has another. I made a cubby hole on the left in the entrance to store gear.
