- There are a couple of interpretive signs along the trail.
- You can see Mt. Hood to the south along the middle portion of the trail.

- I saw Deer brush with flowers of white, blue, and pink on this trail.
- Deer brush (Latin Name: Ceanothus integerrimus), a woody shrub in the family Rhamnaceae, native to the western United States, in Arizona, New Mexico, California, Oregon, and Washington

- As you get higher the hillsides really open up.
- Augspurger Mountain is in the distance on the right side of the photo.
- There were these giant earthworms everywhere on the upper part of the trail.
- Glacier Lilies dot the trail in a few places.
- The trail follows the open slopes with a fairly consistent grade.
- The top of the trail goes on the edge of a tree farm.
- This old equipment is at the turnaround point. We found the geocache without even trying.
