- Looking south along Indian Beach you can see several people enjoying the sand and surf. This is a classic January day at the coast.
- Okay, this isn't on the hike. This is about a mile south of the trialhead, just a bit south of Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach. I stayed for the sunset after the hike.
- Here is the huge root ball that is right next to the trail. It is the only place where a root ball like this is next to the trail and is another marker for a turn-around point.
- A nice picture of Tillamook Head jutting into the ocean near Indian Beach. This is from a viewpoint with a bench which is just north of Indian Beach.
- This downed tree only looks like it is over the trail. It is actually next to the trail and it is a good marker as a place to turn around and head back towards the Hiker's Camp.
- Classic windswept coastal trees frame haystack rocks along the Clatsop Loop Trail.
- A large old-growth tree towers over the Clatsop Loop trail. Though there aren't large numbers of old-growth trees along the trail, they are there.
