- Looking down from Mt. Fremont down to Grand Park. The Northern Loop trail can be seen on the left.
- The inside of Mt. Fremont has all the equipment of a fire lookout. It is takes the brunt of winter storms that break windows and have even blown off the roof. During low snow years the rangers have to carry their own water up from Frozen Lake.
- Bushes of yellow Cinquefoil (Latin name: Potentilla) dot the mountainside around the Mt. Fremont lookout.
- Mt. Fremont Lookout now sports a solar panel to charge a battery and provide a light at night.
- A ground squirrel runs about hoping for a handout. It didn't hang about long because I didn't offer it any food. It later came right up to me hoping for food.
- Mt. Rainier from the Mt. Fremont Lookout trail. This is near the lookout.

- Frozen Lake is the junction for several trails. This lake is the water supply for Sunrise. The snow usually lasts all summer around this lake.
