- Cowlitz Chimneys rise to the west of the Owyhigh Trail.

- Orange Tiger Lillies, Blue Lupines, and white flowers of Sitka Valerium blanket the hillsides along the Owyhigh Trail.
- A bridge on the Owyhigh Trail crosses Chinook Creek near Deer Creek Camp. The waterfall cascades into a clear green pool.
