Accueil / Loowit Trail Photos WA 85
Date d'ajout / 2017 / Juillet
- Big patches of heather bloom along the trail.
- The illsides are ablaze with Lupine and Paintbrush.
- I thought it would be fun to catch my shadow.
- Mt. St. Helens from Plains of Abraham
- This section of the trail is very rocky.
- 2017 was a late snow year and there were still plenty of snow patches on the Plains of Abraham.
- There were nice wildflowers at camp.
- Pumice Butte
- Seemingly endless fields of lava blocks where you have to balance on to negotiate this section of the trail.
- A lovely sunrise at our campsite above Ape Canyon.
- Just a glimpse of Mt. Rainier from our night 1 camp.
- The approach to Windy Gap
- Heidi crossing the Plains of Abraham. You can see how little plantlife there is 36 years after the eruptuion.
- Chocolate Falls is only a seasonal waterfall.
- The beginning of the blocky rocks that you have to negotiate.
