- The end of the day casts long shadows along the trail.
- The Deschutes Rivers churns over a series of falls along the trail.

- Soon after walking past Tunnel Falls, the trail curves around and passes Twister Falls. The high stream flows of spring show off Twister Falls at its best.
- Some interesting mosses grow a bit above the trail along some of the basalt slopes.
- Several small creeks cross the lower portions of the trail. This one is in a small gully.
- Saturday night we walked up to Chinidere Peak just before sunset. The summit has spectacular 360 degree views. This is Mt. Adams.
- Piggyback Plants and sword ferns eagerly await warm spring days to put out new leaves.
- Our campground had a great view of Wahtum Lake. We were the first group arrive at Wahtum Lake for the day and had our choice of sites.
- One of the small streams that cross the trail is very nice with some little green plants growing even in winter.
- Okay, this isn't on the hike. This is about a mile south of the trialhead, just a bit south of Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach. I stayed for the sunset after the hike.
- Nice views of Table Mountain on a sunny day from the Greenleaf Falls Trail.
- Lower section of the trail goes through a nice forest. Here is a little stream that crosses the trail.
- Looking south from near the trailhead towards Cannon Beach is certainly one of the nicer views of the Oregon Coast.
- Looking south along Indian Beach you can see several people enjoying the sand and surf. This is a classic January day at the coast.
