- This downed tree only looks like it is over the trail. It is actually next to the trail and it is a good marker as a place to turn around and head back towards the Hiker's Camp.
- Here is the huge root ball that is right next to the trail. It is the only place where a root ball like this is next to the trail and is another marker for a turn-around point.
- Piggyback Plants and sword ferns eagerly await warm spring days to put out new leaves.
- Upper Latourell Falls is an almost perfect bow tie. There is a grotto just to the right of the falls where you can kind of get behind the falls.
- The forest floor is liberally sprinkled with Trillium blooming in mid-March and early April on the western side of the loop.
