- Frozen Lake is the junction for several trails. This lake is the water supply for Sunrise. The snow usually lasts all summer around this lake.
- Emmons Glacier and Mt. Tahomoa graces the slopes as Mt. Rainer rises above all else. A branch of the White River flows in the foreground.
- Majestic Mt. Rainier rises above everything else at the start of the Burroughs Mountain Trail.
- Cravasses appear on the Emmons Glacier as the winter snows melt away.
- Looking towards Elliot Glacier from Burroughs Mountain Trail in Mt. Rainier National Park.
- Dwarf lupines carpet the landscape along the Burroughs Mountain Trail at Mt. Rainier National Park.
- Walking up the Burroughs Mountain Trail from Frozen Lake you can see the Mt. Fremont Lookout as a tiny dark cube at the left edge of the ridge in the center of the picture.
- Looking back to Second Burroughs from Third Burroughs. The trail down to Glacier Basin can barely be seen coming down the right side of Second Burroughs.
- Looking to the north from Third Burroughs with Grand Park in the far distance.
- Cravasses appear on the Emmons Glacier as the winter snows melt away.
- The blue flowers of Spreading Phlox (Latin name: Phlox diffusa) are in full bloom in mid-July along the Burroughs Mountain Trail in Mt. Rainier National Park.
- Dwarf lupines carpet the landscape among rocks along the Burroughs Mountain Trail at Mt. Rainier National Park.
- Looking back to Second Burroughs from Third Burroughs. The Sunrise Visitors Center is hidden behind Second Burroughs.
- Jagged rocks frame the West Fork of the White River from the top of Third Burroughs.
- On the trail to Second Burroughs the snow can linger into late July. Mt. Rainier provides a snowy backdrop as the trail climbs up the hillside.
