The trail passes through a second growth forest mainly of Hemlock trees with a few Vine Maples.

Knobby Rocks covered with green moss give a hint as to how much rain this area gets.

Branches from dead trees dangle in the trail making this section seem like a haunted forest.

The narrow trail passes beneath Horseshoe Ridge.

This banana slug didn't mind the rainy weather at all.

The Horseshoe Ridge Trail drops down steeply off the ridge back towards Siouxon Creek.

This great example of a widow-maker on the Horseshoe Ridge Trail won't be standing for many more seasons. I guess it will fall over this winter.
