- Cardwell's Penstemon (Latin name: Penstemon cardwellii) is a low perennial that forms a mat and has purple to blue-violet flowers. It is common on disturbed, rocky soils.
- I think this is a Rock Cress with white flowers blooming near the top of Salmon Butte.
- Mt. Hood in the background and Pacific Rhododendron (Latin name: Rhododendron macrophyllum D. Don ex G. Don) blooming along the Salmon Butte Trail.
- Looking southwest from Kamiak Butte, you can see the yellow flowers covering portions of the slopes in June.
