- Here I am next to my igloo.
- Trail signs at the first junction of Dog Mountain Trail. The trail to the right passes a viewpoint but the trail on the left is shorter and stays in the woods. There will be plenty of views later.
- Some wildflowers bloom late into the year along the Glacier Basin Trail.
- The Dog Mountain Trail near the summit. This is a view to the west, looking over Wind Mountain.
- Mt. Hood rises above the Benson Plateau.
- Lupines and Indian Paintbrush bloom on the slopes of Dog Mountain.

- A small lake is next to Glacier Basin Campground. This is the end of the maintained trail. This is looking towards Mt. Rainier.
- The Harms Road Trailhead is up on the prairies between Klickitat and Goldendale. The nearby hills catch the early fall snows and the windswept grasslands offer little shelter.
- Balsam Root flowers bloom on the slopes of Dog Mountain.
- A small log bridge crosses the Inter Fork of the White River on Emmons Glacier View Trail.
- Mt. St. Helens graces a beautiful sky from the Augspurger Mountain Trail.
- Devils Club growing along the Gales Creek Trail.
- A small lake is next to Glacier Basin Campground. This is the end of the maintained trail.
