- A few puffy clouds look almost like snow on the hills along the Columbia River Gorge.
- A nice view looking east into the Columbia River Gorge from the Cherry Orchard Trail.
- A small pond along the Cherry Orchard Trail provides a watering place for small animals and insects. Oak trees reflect on the still surface.
- An interesting looking green bug walks very slowly in the chilly weather near the cherry orchard. This must be a tough bug to withstand the freezing nighttime temperatures.
- An oak tree frames this view looking west into the Columbia River Gorge.
- Climbing up above the river, the trail passes this interesting rock promontory overlooking the Columbia River.
- Continuing to climb above the river, there are nice views to the west. One lone oak tree holds onto its leaves late into the year.
- Here is a nice view of the cliffs along the Columbia River from the Cherry Orchard Trail.

- Just a bit uphill from the trailhead is this sign for the Cherry Orchard Trail. It is easy to walk farther than the 2 miles indicated on the sign.
