- This section of the Yellowjacket Trail seems to be seldom used.
- There were several snow campers on the shore of Trillium Lake.
- There were several intrepid hikers that came out to view Ponytail Fallls.
- The Yellowjacket Trail isn't maintained much and there are some deadfall to get around.

- The snow is really frozen to the trees. We jabbed a couple of the clumps and couldn't dislodge them.
