- Jeremiah is enjoying the wonderful view of Mt. Rainier. You can see a bit of fall snow in the background. This is on Cowlitz Divide where we came to one of the first clear views of Mt. Rainier.
- Most of the trail junctions are well signed but sometimes the signs are missing.
- Balsamrood and Lupines carpet the ground on the pleateu above the Columbis River at the Tom McCall Nature Preserve.
- A local name for the final section of the trail that climbs steeply up to the summit on the King's Mountain Trail in the Tillamook State Forest, Oregon.
