- The Fisher Hill trestle has been redecked by Klickitat County and was opened on Jan. 6, 2011. This is about 2 miles from the Columbia River.

- Western Maidenhair Fern (Latin name: Adiatnum pedatum aleuticum) along the Lewis River Trail.
- An oak tree frames this view looking west into the Columbia River Gorge.
- Extending the hike on the Maple Trail leads back to a junction to a knoll with this overlook of Forest Park. This is looking to the southeast.
- The first part of Mazama Ridge is so flat that it is easy to snowshoe in a straight line for a long distance.

- A seasonal pond near the top of the Mazama Trail provides a beautiful reflection of Mt.Hood.
- There are several nice overlooks of the Columbia River. In most places the cliffs below block most of the highway noise.
