- One of the viewpoints along the Mt. Defiance Trail provides this view of the Columbia River Gorge to the west. Round Mountain is towards the center of the picture.
- Mt. Rainer can easily be seen in the distance from a panoramic viewpoint along the Mt. Defiance Trail.
- Mt. Adams towers above the landscape along the Starvation Ridge Trail.
- Mt. Adams looms in the distance from a panoramic viewpoint along the Mt. Defiance Trail.
- Mt. Adams disappears into the trees along the Starvation Ridge Trail.

- Lancaster Falls is the first of three waterfalls on the final portion of the trail.

- Cabin Creek Falls slows to a tiny plume of water in the summer and fall. This is near the Mt. Defiance Trailhead.
