- Mt. Rainier along the Wonderland Trail above the saddle between Moraine Park and Mystic Lake.
- The rising sun pours through two small breaks in the clouds in the east. These clouds later turned into thunderstorms but they never made it to the park.
- Fog lies in the Carbon River valley as the morning sun rises.
- I think this waterfall is the tallest in the park, not Comet Falls. It falls from Seattle Park down to the Carbon Glacier.
- Mt. Rainier just after sunrise reflected in a meltwater pond. The marine air forms clouds as it flows over Mt. Rainer, then the clouds disappear again. An example of a mountain making its own weather.
- The big patch of dirt in the middle of the photo is the Carbon Glacier covered with rocks and dirt from Mt. Rainier. Fog lies in the Carbon River Valley far below.
- A field of flowers along the Wonderland Trail. The trail and hillsides were strewn with flowers in mid-July.
- Mystic Lake and Old Desolate along the Wonderland Trail. A small stream in the foreground flows into Mystic Lake. The stream at the west end of Mystic Lake is a great place to filter water.
- Mystic Lake and Old Desolate along the Wonderland Trail. Enjoy the level trail along Mystic Lake while it lasts.
- Steve using a rope to get down a trail washout to get to Winthrop Creek. The Park Service put this rope in to help out backpackers on the Wonderland Trail.
- Steve using a rope to descend the Wonderland Trail near Winthrop Creek.
- Zach using a rope to descend the Wonderland Trail near Winthrop Creek.
- The big pile of dirt on the left is the Winthrop Glacier. All the dirt is rocks that fell off Mt. Rainier an the glacier carries the debris until the ice melts and leaves the rocks to wash down the river.
- The Wonderland Trail climbs above Winthrop Glacier to Dick Creek Camp.
- Winthrop Glacier and the glacial stream flowing from underneath the glacier. Rocks and dirt are constantly falling off the top of the glacier and rolling downt he ice face into the streambed.
