- Up close, Mt. Hood shows rugged faces of rock and snow. The Mountaineer Trail takes you close to these jagged rocks.
- Typical trail view of Salmon Butte Trail. Other portions are heavily wooded. This is a wetter portion of the trail with Devil's Club growing next to the trail.
- Twin Firs Trailhead on the south side of Mt. Rainier National Park.
- Turkey Vultures lazily glide across the land looking for a meal at the Tom McCall Nature Preserve.
- Trillium blooming in the spring along the Eagle-Benson Trail.
- Trees struggle to survive on the slopes of Mt. Hood. This is just above Timberline Lodge.
- Trailhead sign for Trail 791, Salmon Butte on the right side of the road, as you're driving up to the parking area.
- Trail sign to Bird Butte Summit along the Pacific Crest Trail between Barlow Pass and Twin Lakes, OR.
- Trail sign near at the edge of the Rowena Crest parking area.
- Trail junction with the PCT and trail 495 to Twin Lakes. This is a popular trail and it is hard to lose the way because the cleared trail is a gap in the trees. This is the junction for the return trail.

- To the south, Mt. Jefferson can be seen on clear days from the top of Salmon Butte.
- This is one of the two large footbridges that cross sluggish streams on the Gibbons Creek Wildlife Trail near Washougal Washington.
- This is a soda spring becuase carbon dioxide and other gasses constantly bubble up through the water.
