- From the top of Beacon Rock you can see Hamilton Mountain and the basalt cliffs along the south side of the mountain. Looking at Hamilton Mountain you can see how steep slopes end in sheer cliffs in the Gorge.
- Mt. Hood pokes above the nearby mountains from near the top of Bunker Hill.
- Mt. Adams towers in the distance from the Timberline Trail. The Knarl Ridge fire has burned the trees in the foreground. The Gnarl Ridge Fire was started by lightning on Thursday night, August 7, 2008 and quickly spread. The fire burned until put out by w
